  1. Ok, the Easter holidays have begun, I'm poised to order the Wisper (no matter which others I look at I keep getting drawn back to it) but there seems to be quite a lot of support for the Ezee Torq Mk3 on the forums. Is it a good un??
  2. Thanks Jonah Not tested either, unfortunately no dealers close. I'm in a flat coastal area but with a stiff sea breeze and 18 stones to shift my 6 feet 2 frame I need a bike with a bit of umph. I'm sure I would be happy with either, just never considered spending this much on a bike before!!
  3. Hi flapajack Glad it's not just me struggling to make a decision. I too started looking at sub £1000 bikes such as RooDog Avatar and Woosh Big Bear but am now torn between the X24 (thanks for the mini review!) and the Wisper 905, my current dilemna (and there have been several) being do I want a throttle or not. Glad you are happy with your purchase, hoping to make my mind up soon before I go mad! John
  4. Thanks again for all the advice, despite liking the Kudos Typhoon (just wish it had lights and mudguards as standard) I think I've whittled my choice down to two (both typically at the very top end of my budget!): Kalkhoff Pro Connect Xion 24 (can have larger frame size) Wisper 905 classic (strong and sturdy with good oomph for a lump like me). Any comments specifically regarding these gratefully received, or a one word answer to help swing my choice (remember 18 stones and 6 feet 2). Thanks once more, this decision process is so tough!!!
  5. Thanks all. KudosDave, interested to hear the Kudos bikes should be fine. At 6 feet 2, are there any bikes other than the Typhoon suited to the taller person? Could do with a bike with lights, mudguards for the daily commute also. Thanks again John
  6. Thanks to all those who have offered advice so far, I will look into some of these recommendations. Good to know the weight shouldn't be a problem. I live in Southport on the North West coast, not particularly hilly but the sea breeze can be a right pain some days so a good motor will be important. Cheers, John.
  7. Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy an electric bike over Easter as a real kick start to get me more healthy. I've looked at so many websites my eyes are beginning to boggle! As I don't live that close to any main dealers I'd appreciate any help you can provide. Being 18 stone and 6 feet 2 inches my bike choice is slightly limited. At the top end of my budget I really like the look of the Wisper 905 but the slightly cheaper Oxygen E Mate also looks pretty attractive. Going cheaper, both the RooDog Avatar and Woosh Big Bear are also appealing. Would I notice the difference by spending the extra pennies? Are these all reliable bikes with good after sales service? I'm not looking to climb mountains on the bike and live in a relatively flat area, I'm just after a reliable tough bike that will last me many years. Thanks for any help you give me. John
