  2. I have a load of stuff I'm getting rid of so thought I'd try get rid of the lot in one go. 2 x 500w 36v BBSO2, one may have an issue as It started cutting out a couple of days before My BBSHD arrived, but I think it was a brake sensor. 1 x 36v 17.4 AH battery pack, LG celled and works well, last trip out was 3 month ago 25 mile full assist and up some very large Yorkshire hills. 1 x 36v 14.5 Ah pack, older generic pack, was getting 15 Mile out of it last run but hasn't been used for a while LCD's, brake levers, wirelooms etc. Trek 7.1FX frame with a cheap Zoom spring front fork, New (2 month old )Avid bb7 on front and some chinese knock off that probably needs binning or a good overhaul on back. Frame needs stripping and re spray. Seat post in white, white handle bars and a black handlebar set, seat (comfort style) 29'r wheels, some spare rotors never used, off set precialp 42 tooth narrow / wide chain ring. Sram shifter, and a bunch of other bit's that may or not be of use 2 x 29'r spiked tyres never used cost £80 Blackburn large triangle bag never used that cost £130, another alpkit bag used. Having a big clean out due to being nagged so.... Cash on collection, Greetland near Halifax. £650 the lot OBO
  3. simply for the chain set, I haven't seen anyone else (so far) offering a system that come with one that allows you to keep your full gear range, or from the look of it at least some of them. the bafang ones as far as I can see lose the entire front gearing.
  4. Anyone had one of these kits from Eclispebikes.com that can give me a little feed back as to if they are any good. I am looking at the 24v 360w kit in particular as the poor 3E Urban has been getting hammered pretty hard up and down the Calder Valley here in West Yorkshire and I think it may be time to look at upgrading to my second Ebike and converting my Trek 7100 Hybrid to a mid drive. I was thinking about the following although they do have some drawbacks as far as my limited knowledge can see. http://eclipsebikes.com/chainwheel-watt-ebike-p-976.html possibly with http://eclipsebikes.com/eclipse-commute-12ah-headway-lifepo4-battery-p-903.html It doesn't seem to have any form of PAS or brake cut offs and I'm not sure about having to have my thumb stuck on a leaver all day. I have contacted them with several questions about modifications, such as adding a sensor and possibility or a LCD with a few levels assists. I could be way off the mark, as I said my knowledge is limited, and cost is a huge issue. I am looking to keep it under £600 but get the feeling I may be being optimistic. Anyhow, thanks for reading / replying. any comments suggestion are grateful. Mark B
  5. all sorted thanks to Pdarnett and Dv8eh. Major thanks to Paul who yet again has proven to be one of the best guys you could know and to Dv8eh for his technical input.
  6. Anyone know of any workshops in the West Yorkshire region?, Google isn't being too helpful. ty
  7. Yes it worked fine with no problems before this, i have a 3 led indicator on the handlebars, the bike doesn't have assist levels, but does have a twist and go on the handlebars. After further investigation it is looking like the back wheel is the problem as the power is getting as far as the connector from the battery to the hub. I think the motor maybe be seized in some way.
  8. My bike seems to have developed a fault and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to track it down. I rode home the other morning fine and put the bike on charge. When it came time to go to work the battery appeared to be charged and the charger light was green. Upon getting on I found that the motor was not running and several times upon turning the key to the "on" position resulted in a clunking noise and the power indicator on the handlebars going off. I have not had the chance to track down where the clunking sound is coming from, the hub or the battery but will be investigating further in a couple days to try to repair whatever the issue is. The power does not always go off when turning the key though it still wont run, and when it stays (most times) on the battery indicators on both the handlebar and the battery housing indicate a full charge, plugging the battery into the charger gives a green fully charged light. The bike is a 3e Urban and has served me well since buying it last year so I'm hoping to have her up and running again asap. any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance, Mark
  9. Hi there everyone, Names Mark from Halifax West Yorkshire. Only just joined the E Bike fan club after buying a three E Urban from Paul (Pdarnett) in the classifieds section to get me to work and back. After a bit of a rough start due to battery problems i'm now loving my new Urban and am impressed with the whole concept of E bikes
  10. saw this and wondered if anybody would be interested, bought a couple items to repair from them and got them cheap so could be a bargain, not putting in classifieds sections as it's nothing to do with me, just a "oh look what i saw" moment. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Indigo-Regency-Electric-Bike-Black-16-Inch-28-Inch-/271543312199?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item3f393e1f47
  11. Yeah Paul, it was the front hub bearings, took it to my local bike shop and he fitted a new axle, cones and bearings for twelve pounds so I'm happy with that. Running well so far, finally made it there and back without incident.
  12. Bearings gone first ride out, my fault as i didn't check front wheel properly. All fixed now and going great guns.
  13. WELL YOU SEE THE HILL IN THE DISTANCE BEHIND ME, THE ONE ON THE LEFT.......that is where i work, and THAT is why i decided on a ebike, although to be fair a couple of short but very steep ones (60 - 75%) I'm going to push it up.
  14. can't wait, good deal and a nice bike all round
  15. Still not got a bike but am looking at buying an arriba new, having to save up for it though so will be 6 weeks or so, but keep me updated as still interested.
