Panda XL update
Hi all ! well I went ahead and bought the Panda xl and it seams like a good cheap bike. It is a totally different ride to my Big Bear; but great to just tuck in the boot of the car when you just want to get off quickly and go and ride some where new. I have only been into Pedelecs for just over a year and yet every time I go for a ride I feel like i'm 8 again. I want to ride to the sweat shop; spend all my pocket money on a block of ice-cream; come home and watch Grandstand on the telly LOL!! I do hope this feeling never changes.

Hi all I have seen a Panda xl on ebay. it's a new bike 48v 8ah Samsung battery and seems quiet cheep for what it is. Any advice or draw backs on the bike or company would be appreciated. I have no experience of a 48v battery are they more expensive to replace etc..

Woosh Big Bear 1 year on
Hi all I thought I would give you an update on my experiences of ownership for the last 12 mths. I maybe tempting fate but here goes. I couldn't really get out of my village except by car, now that's a thing of the past. I have used mostly on sunny days just to keep it special cos it's still an amazing experience to me every time I get on it I smile. I've used it to go to work (13 miles each way) and it's been great. It powers uphills and I'm not dead at the top. I love it! would I ever go back to a normal bike? I seriously doubt it this is just so much fun. Not a tech review I will let others do that but buying an electric bike has been a revelation and I am now considering buying an electric folder just to put in the car for those lazy away days.

Woosh Excellent experience
My own Woosh experience is as follows. I phoned Woosh 20 minuets before closing on Wednesday to order a bike, I'd already made my mind up as to which one and just wanted to know about delivery times. Haiti told me she could send it out in the morning and it would be there by Monday or I could pay £10 extra and it could be delivered on Friday. I went for the £10 option and thought if it's delivered late on Saturday at least I wouldn't have to take another day off work. It's Thursday night I can't sleep and it feels like my birthday and xmas rolled into one, please let it come tomorrow. Friday dawns I'm up early, lets see what happens. Well late morning my phone rings and it's the courier. "Hi is that Frank? I have a really big parcel for you and I won't be there till 4'ish I just thought I'd give you a call so your not waiting in all day!" What a fantastic service "It's ok I replied I'm doing some jobs at home anyway" The massive box arrives; he helps me carry it in the Kitchen; I sign his PDA and away he goes. I unpack the bike and put the battery on charge.

E cigarette and Bike Ordered
Well what can I say? Life begins at 50ish! I've taken the plunge on 2 accounts; switching to Ecigs and ordered a Woosh Big Bear today. Really excited and can't wait for the bike to arrive. Time for a couple of questions for my pedelec friends. 1/ Bike insurance ? 2/ Gold secure lock ? 3/ Waterproof panniers. views and opinions on any of the above would be useful.

3 maybe 4 to choose from, experiences and thoughts ?
OK ! I have seen 3 or 4 that I like and would like to know of peoples experiences of these please. Buying process; riding; satisfaction and any problems especially if you have owned them for a while. 1/ Woosh Big Bear 2/ Ezee sprint primo 3/ Kudos secret 4/ Woosh sirocco 2 / Kudos Duke. Also tell me the best and worst thing about owning your first electric bike. Try to keep it to sentence or two!

undecided, short list growing.... confused more advise please!
D8ve Good advice I hadn't looked at it like that. I'm a bit reluctant to admit I'm getting older! It's the thought of going electric that's holding me back I suppose. Guess I should go and try 1 or 6 like you said and take it from there. once again thanks for the advice. Anyone know where I can try near YO51 postcode area?

D8ve Thanks! I'm not totally unfit, I walk four or five miles every day apart from at weekends when I'm chasing my golf ball round the course. I want to do as you advised. I have been working on my fitness and have done my shopping trip a few times, but just stop for a rest on the way back. Got an old steal 22kg mountain bike with a buckled back wheel which doesn't help! LOL!

RobF Thanks for the advice. I don't like the Dutch Style lived in Holland and cycled to work everyday for 4 years, even in Minus 20 degrees. Scarf round your face freezes to a mask at that temperature. Got my 8 km time down from 45mins to 18mins in 6 months; on an old sit up and beg 3 geared Dutch style beast.
