  1. I suppose it was inevitable now I am charging the battery on my Pro-connect every day. Got up to go to work in a bit of a daze and left the battery on the charger. Trouble is I've been cycling with the battery off till I get to my first hill about 2 miles from my house. I wimped out and went back for it, anyone else done it? Doh! Dave
  2. I agree I agree with LL I will do anything not to go in the car even rain don't stop me anymore. I actually enjoy going to work on the Pro Connect Dave
  3. Battery Key Hi Larkspur you don't need a key to open a Kalkhoff battery for charging. That lock is no more than a retainer. I stuck my small keyring type swiss army knife blade in it to see how good the protection was it just turned and the battery came out hope this helps Dave
  4. Red Band My pro connect has a red band on the chain side of the hub Dave
  5. Pro Connect picture I've taken a quick picture of my Pro Connect hope it attaches to this. The handlebars are similar to XC monkey bars mountain bike style they are pretty good the grips are excellent they have a flap of rubber that rests on the fleshy part of your palm which if I remember can suffer damage to the nerves if not protected. I swaped the seat for a Fizik Aliante the standard is to soft for me I also put in a Specialized carbon seat post with the zertz comfort insert- great shock absorbing device. The original seatpost is fine weight wise I was supprised how light it was. Couple of things to check are the rear light had bare wires showing (covered with mastic) and the brake blocks on the front brake had 2 left handed ones fitted which because they are handed tended to twist the rim rather than clamp on when braking (£2.00 from bike shop so no hardship). Anyone who want pictures/measurements just let me know Dave
  6. My 49cm Pro-Connect diamond frame arrived last Thursday Hi I ordered my Pro-connect at the Rally a couple of weeks ago. I was told 2 weeks for delivery and it arrived at 50 cycles last Wednesday. I couldn't wait for delivery and drove up from South Wales on the Thursday. It's a diamond frame 49cm. I was tempted to wait for the 53cm but when I tried the 49cm it has a 56cm top tube which is pretty long for me. I'm 5ft 10" and it fits perfectly, I've not stopped riding it since, it's fantastic. Hope this helps those who can't decide on the frame size, my inside leg measurement is 31 inches (groin to floor) there is about another six inches of safety on the seatpost so I guess it would fit someone bigger again if you prefer a compact type frame. I can't fault the service I have received from 50 cycles they did everything they said they would, the showroom was full of bikes and they were pretty busy with other customers while I was there. I know that's easy to say when you've got your pride and joy sat at home, I hope the larger sizes arrive soon for those waiting it really is a great bike. Dave
