  1. New price £15. It must go!
  2. Pelicase 1300 for a double stanchions(30mm) forks. With metal support plate + 4 stanchion clamp (30mm) + cutoff switch (2 keys included) Fully Rainproof. (using some silicon for cable outputs) Google for more details and dimensions. As an idea of the room I used to have 112 cells (18650) + 18 fet controller(without metal case) all packed inside. Details: Before buying make sure your stanchions are 30mm diameter. There's a holes for all the cabling: Throttle, Phase, LCD display, even Horn and Lights. If you wouldn't need any of the holes just mask them with putty. There's two rails inside to secure the battery. You can remove them. Can be locked with padlock. Bargain: 19gbp including courier. (pelicase itself was 30 and clamps were around 15gbp) http://s33.postimg.org/5ykixb44v/20160526_113436.jpg http://s33.postimg.org/hi7fpr0kv/20160526_113530.jpg http://s33.postimg.org/sd7pu0u5r/20160526_113609.jpg http://s33.postimg.org/hpd5mnyy7/20160526_113714.jpg http://s33.postimg.org/lfr145vvz/20160526_113637.jpg
  3. NEW PRICE: The price is £99 postage (Parcelforce) included. If collected from Brighton £90. A bargain considering that only the frame+shock cost me £150 one year ago. Paypal or bank transfer. I'm a good ebay seller, if you prefer go through Ebay (and its Paypal secure purchase) the price will be £109 (as Ebay withdraws a 10% fee) Hi, I'm selling my FS e-bike frame with DIY integrated 18Fet Controller. This ad is perfect for those who want to swap from hardtail to a full suspension frame. You have heard it already many times but I have to insist on it, the riding improvement is HUGE. The frame is a Specialized SX Supercross 2003. A downhill sturdy frame. Frame is Medium and that is the reason why I'm selling this frame. I'm swapping the frame to a Large size which fits better my 183cm height. This frame, as medium size, will fit riders from 168cm(5'6") to 180cm(5'11") tall. The white original colour of the frame was stripped, sanded, base coated, base painted and final coated with a red candy colour lacquer. So colour is exclusive, you won't find any Specialized SX in red candy colour, and neither you'll find many bikes bicycles with this colour as is quite new in the market. Has been my first gunspray job so there's a paint drip and also after 1 year of use the frame/paint has some chips and brushes as showed in pictures, but hardly noticeable as they're tiny. Included with the frame: Rear original Shock: Fox Vanilla R Bottom Bracket. Crank: arm 175mm; 104BCD Top and bottom cups of the headset. (Bottom cup is for sealed bearing only) Seatube Clamp (No bolt included) Seat post: It's been trimmed in the lowest part, but will fit any rider up to 180cm tall; It's got two holes in the top part where 2x 12AWG cables went through, it doesn't compromise its strength, at least with a 165lbs rider. Lower mudguard, thermo molded to conceal the controller. The controller is a generic Aliexpress Controller. Specs are: Motor type: BLCD DirectDrive hub motor. Voltage: 60V Mosfet: 18 Max Current: official 35A; Currently shunt moded, probably 40-45A Low Voltage CutOff (LVC) = 52V (+/- 0.5V) Hall Sensor: Yes Three speed switch: Yes The isolation of the Controller and cables has been improved to resist UK rain. All the cables coming out will be labeled to ease the mount, in advance are: Power in: 2 thick cables Phase out: 3 thick cables Hall Sensor: 5 cables (includes -5v ground needed also in throttle and 3 speed switch) Throttle: 2 Cable (ground -5v shared with -5v hall cable) 3 speed switch: 2 Cable (ground -5v shared with -5v hall cable) Power out: the same than your battery, I used the 60v out for a horn. Low brake cutoff: 2 cables. Use it with an ebike brake lever or with a button switch, when connected will cut the power of the throttle. Useful when you're manipulating the bike... On the highest speed and with my battery (15S LIPO) freshly charged the bike pulls like a beast, easy to do a small wheely if you're not careful with the throttle. Here is the reason to sell the controller with the frame, once you get used to certain power you're ready for more (I upgraded to 60A controller). I use 3 steel-reinforced torque arms (you can find them in Ebay) and I wouldn't recommend less than 3 torque arms if you don't want the axle splitting the frame dropouts. Disclaimer: Item for sell is Bike frame and controller. The last two pictures are only for aesthetic references, how it looks when the bike is complete. Before: The price is £170 postage (Parcelforce) included. If collected from Brighton £160. A bargain considering that only the frame+shock cost me £150 one year ago. Paypal or bank transfer. I'm a good ebay seller, if you prefer go through Ebay (and its Paypal secure purchase) the price will be £185 (as Ebay withdraws a 10% fee) Any questions let me know. 4. No, there's not such caution between cells, only a ridid plastic layer and foam around the pack. Columns and rows are sick together, there's no gap between them. Not a chance to wear off the film that protects each cell because they don't move. I've never been concerned about vibration when the battery is inside the case because is so tight that there's no a mm gap. Another account is how you handle the battery when is out of the case, I've been always delicate with it, and I wouldn't recommend the battery for people who is not cautious handling stuff or clamsy people. Despite I haven't had a problem in 600 miles I would only recommend this battery for someone who plans to recharge the battery inside the case. And not for someone who plans to remove the battery from the case for a charge. Thanks Cwah for pointing out.
  5. Ouh Cwah I can't compete with your battery builds. Sorry to disappoint you No BMS No Spot welded. Just thick (non stranded) coper wire. And glue gun between cells. LVC was 49V (3.5v per cell) through Voltage lcd display. Is a homemade laptop battery, and I was draging up to 2C from a 40A controller. Battery tackles hilly roads (12%) up to 51V. And performs flawlessly on flat roads. That's why I recommend 20A controller (shouldn't struggle with a 20A controller even at low voltages) I do remember that you've got a huge controller (?).... as long as you ride on flat streets shouldn't be a problem. There's no problem at all to try the battery for a week and if anyone is disappointed (which I guess no one will) can return the battery through a cheap courier like Myhermes or Collect+ . There's no problem To sell the battery through Ebay to help the buyer protection. Cheers.
  6. Home made battery composed by 126 quality used laptop cells (mostly Toshiba and Dell). 14S 9P. It gives 20Ah capacity. Charger (3A) is included which will charge the cells up to 4.15V to enlarge the lifespan. Pelicase + U-bolts to mount on double crown stanchions (30mm). Also included a pad-lock and anti-spark switch. The case will need little re-work, I used to have the battery and controller inside so there's some holes in the back part, just need to be epoxy sealed if you don't need them. Also needs to be rewired and you need powerpole connector to connect the battery inside the case. Recommended controller is 20A. Reason for selling: I've been using it for 600 miles without a problem. Currently my commute is much shorter, only needing a 4Ah saddlebag battery. This battery is NOT compatible with my other item for sell (due to the Low voltage cutoff): http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/specialized-full-suspension-frame-with-integrated-controller-bargain-%C2%A395.23209/ Send by courier. 9. Apparently Ebikes are becoming popular. No it wasn't me, I'll stick with DD and my bike is still in half process, waiting for spares. About the controller is not really odd, is not about speed is about acceleration, if you stop in the middle of an intersection on a hilly street, believe me you want a powerful and fast response, well at least makes me feel safe. And you know how steep are many streets in here...

  11. Thanks d8veh, as always, for the thorough info, it will help me also to repair the throttle. No problems with the seller who immediately offered to return the item and refund.
  12. Finally the throttle was the problem. Now I can hit the max speed. So take into account that you might have a problem(or incompatibility) in your throttle if your bike doesn't reach the expected max speed and also you have the 1st/3rd or 1st/4er of you throttle without response. In that case would be useful to check the output signal voltage of your throttle and compare with your controller requirements. Cheers
  13. A new throttle is on its way. Ebay UK seller and even cheaper. 3GBP and with specs: 1 to 4v range, should be the one. Last time I tried to open my previous throttle I broke it. They're not easy to disassemble at all. But when I receive my new throttle by thusday I can resend you d8veh this one for free if you're interested (send me a PM) as a thanks for all the knowledge you're spreading for free here and in ES.
  14. Hi, I just wanted to warn about the voltage range of the cheapest Hall throttle in located in Ebay Uk. Seller is Red-Circles and price doesn't arrive to 6GBP. There's nothing wrong with seller, but he doesn't specify the voltage range of the throttle. I bought the throttle and its voltage range is 0.8V to 3.12V. So I think that this info would be useful for the ebike community. My controller specs indicate that I need a throttle range from 1.1v to 4.2v. Obviously I'm not reaching the top speed and also the 1st/3rd of the throttle is useless. I read something about tuning the throttle response with resistances but I assume that I can't mod the throttle to get a higher voltage at WOT. so.... does anybody know any local UK throttle to buy at that voltage range? I prefer not to buy from China, you never know if the latest explosions in Tianjin would affect the shipping process. Thanks.
  15. Discounted to 55GBP (61GBP if you want to buy it through Ebay)
  16. 14x toshiba laptop batteries. http://s7.postimg.org/b0zfya04b/20150408_193134.jpg Each contains 6 cells. So a total of 84cells. Most of them perform at 2200mAh per cell. Some of them 2000mAh per cell. My previous ebike battery was made of 114 cells of the same used Toshiba laptop battery job lot. Speed & acceleration test of a 14S8P battery with 35A controller: https://vid.me/qyfA The price is 30GBP courier "signed for" included. Check my bike frame for sell: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/ebike-frame-waterproof-case.20565/
  17. Also check my other post 14 remaining Toshiba laptop batteries for sell
  18. Hi, first I want to do a correction, The battery fitted was 14s8p 112cells Here is a picture of the battery before the tape wrap and 5mm foam to protect it. http://s12.postimg.org/wor0c5oal/20140708_202407.jpg So, as you could see in the previous video I had clearance to fit controller and the battery, some space to be able to remove the battery and recharge it whenever I wanted. So 112cells is perfect for a removable battery. Could you fit 200 cells there?. If you mount the controller outside and you split the 200cells in several blocks of 50cells (4 blocks) , I think it MIGHT fit 3 packs(150cells to 180cells), 200cells I doubt it. But if you're planing to disassemble the battery everytime you recharge it, I don't recommend to use more than 112cells (5.8kg of battery) or 126cells, more in several block is going to be a pain in the a****. really uncomfortable to disconnect them and transport them. The performance with 112cells was good enough: check the video of speed test 53 km/h = 33mph even too much for the legal speed permitted for ebikes . And I am using used laptop battery cells with a 35A controller. Speed test: https://vid.me/qyfA
  19. Specialized Hardrock 19" frame. Disc brake only. Pinarello decals. Spray painted. Homemade case. Made of metal. Rainproof. Two keys included. There's room in the case to keep a battery (13s8p, 104 cells of 18650 batteries) or a lipos in similar dimensions. A controller circuit can also be fitted in the case as you can see in the video. One of the rear dropout is snapped but with the double 5mm torque arms I've been able to ride 2000w direct drive for many miles without any problem. So reckon you'll need torque arms to be able to mount any motor in this frame. You'll need a wide bottom bracket (68x122) and with a single chainring. Double or triple crankset won't be able to be mounted. I've been riding this fixie with a 54T front 16T rear without any problems even going uphill, as long as you use a powerful motor ( 500w geared or 1500w directdrive) General condition is well used, with marks, and the case would benefit of new carbon vinyl wrap cover (in amazon for 10gbp), There's some drill holes in the lower frame tube to hold the controller( in the beginning, before a fitted the controller in the case). The frame will be posted by courier. Will be sent unboxed, wrapped using foam protection and tape. Included: Frame&case + 2 keys. The last picture is a reference my ebike looked like when mounted. The buyer can request me to use ebay to sell the item, and then you'll be protected by ebay&paypal. I'm a good seller 400+ positive feedback. Local collection available in Brighton. Any question let me know. Grab a bargain: 60GBP Courier included. (66gbp if you require Ebay to buy the item) Video of the rainproof case: https://vid.me/8IO4 http://s17.postimg.org/puycum1vz/20150220_171346.jpg http://s27.postimg.org/qtt57kec3/20150220_171215.jpg http://s15.postimg.org/jtkehla8r/20150220_171947.jpg http://s13.postimg.org/6l0asxm5z/20150220_172211.jpg http://s11.postimg.org/s2nrrd50z/20141214_143134.jpg
