  1. Hi, I‘ e emailed you 24/10/22. John.
  2. Hi, we are on much the position but moved to ebikes 3 years ago. Live in Exmouth, where abouts are you?

Ahh, I suspect the difference is that you are paying for the vet yourself whether through insurance or not. With the visit to the GP, while you pay through NI or tax (or maybe insurance) most see it as 'free' so people go along for all sorts of minor ailments and clog up the system.
  4. Hi Crystal, I have 'top gun' forks on my ebike and find that they do reduce the pounding on my wrists etc. My wife rides a very stylish 'Emu' ebike that has solid forks and is very happy with it. She does ride more sedately that me!. So I guess the answer is to try a bike until you find one you are happy with. I don't think you can go far wrong these days. Best of luck.
  5. I use those 'furniture felt pads' normally used for cushioning chair legs on wooden floors. They stick on the base of the battery holder and take up the slack, enough to hold the battery firm enough to stop rattles.
  6. I have a Sirocco CDL which I think is less powerful than the Kreiger, I also currently have a new Big Bear in the garage which belongs to my daughter. I ride both and I think the points covered by others on this thread are pretty accurate. While the CDL has less grunt than the BB it's a nicer, more natural, ride I find. The acceleration on the BB, once the front wheel has some grip, is addictive. On the other hand with the CDL you have the pauses for gear changes. I don't think I would swap on a permanent basis.
  7. Hi Bill, like you I have long legs (34") and was advised by Woosh to go for the Sirocco CDL. The CDL has a 5cm larger frame and 5cm more saddle height. Being a crank drive you have the gear change 'issue' but I find this no problem. I have had no quality issues at all and I live in Exmouth so if you want to have a look or a ride let me know.
  8. Done it, best of luck. John
  9. EX8 thanks.
  10. Hi Colban, I bought the Sirocco CDL, a decision based on my height, have now done 140 miles. I rode to Sidmouth from Exmouth via Peak Hill and back last week. I know the hill well as a car driver and have cycled it years ago. The run back up the hill from Sidmouth was a bit of a struggle and I don't envy you doing it so often. The worst park was my wife (younger and it seems fitter) disappearing up the hill on her Dawes Suburbia......
  11. I'm new to the Forum but found it quite informative and it helped me choose my wife's new bike.
