What size? Where from?
Thanks again Rob, they have HQ in Loughborough not to far from me. I like the trapedoize frame rather than the Compact but it's all about what fits. Geoff

Thanks Kudos Dave, that pair is very interesting, the spec. is right the price is right. Where can I see them? I live in Worcestershire. Geoff

What size? Where from?
OK Rob, I did find the Volts etc eventually. Hmm, lots to think about, hub vs crank etc. I won't reopen the posts on that subject! Geoff

What size? Where from?
Rob, the bumpf on the Raliegh bikes says 300wh battery but it doesn't say how many volts or what the wattage of the motor is? Geoff

Thanks John, M.K. is doable from Bromsgrove so I might nip down the m/way and have a look. Dave, thanks for your advice, you are to far for a visit I am afraid. Geoff

- What size? Where from?
I am looking to buy two bikes, and I am not sure of what sizes. I am 5' 10" with short legs, and my wife is 5' 2" and is no Amazon warrior! I have been looking for a while and I would like a Bosch crank drive 26" or 28" wheels, one step thro' and one not step thro'. Obviously I need to ride a bike to see if it's the right size. I live in Worcestershire, I know about Onbike and have had a look there, but their prices are a bit high for me. I was hoping to spend about £3000 for two bikes. Am I asking to much? So are there any other dealers within reasonable reach? Any special offers? I need to sort this before March. Geoff- Insurance
Thanks James I will give them a try, and John, I have tried CTC and whilst they will cover me if I become a member they do not do a certificate that would be suitable for Spain i.e. like a car insurance certificate. Geoff- Insurance
OK John, it seems that my bikes do not conform to EC 15194 but do conform to current UK legislation. So I cannot get a CoC that shows compliance with EC 15194, and that's what the Spanish police want. If you can't produce a CoC then they expect you to have insurance for third party risks while on the road. I doubt very much that the Spanish police will be setting up "bike check" operations, indeed the police are only rarely seen and they are not interested in two old codgers on electric bikes! Nonetheless I would like to have some sort of insurance. Hedgehog- Insurance
The problem is, my bikes conform to UK legislation but do not conform to Spanish legislation, they have a throttle so the Spanish police want to see a valid 3rd party insurance certificate for use in Spain. No seems to do one specifically for 3rd party road use abroad. They are covered on my houshold policy but I don't think that will do. Hedgehog- Insurance
My wife and I have an electric bike each, they are 250w with a twist and go throttle. I am trying to find someone who does 3rd party (road use) cover both for the UK and most importantly in Europe. Hedgehog- Another "what bike" sorry!
I will be visting Onbike soon when I get my car back from the dealers who are fixing a water ingress problem, they need it for 3 days! OK re: local dealer, yes. that's what I want, somewhere local to get it fixed. I am a bit biased against Chinese bikes now, I have had problems so regardless of how much better they have become I won't buy another. As you say, German bikes can go wrong, in fact anything ever made can go wrong, it's all a matter of how wrong things go and how often. G.- Another "what bike" sorry!
North Worcester, by the M5. Geoff Edit:- I have transport and can travel if therre is something of interest. G- Another "what bike" sorry!
Sounds good Dave, but I really need two, or I would be in trouble with my other half! Geoff- Another "what bike" sorry!
http://motorhomeandcampervan.com/ansmann-pedelec-fc-5-compact/ Thanks I have decided on non folders with crank drive, German would be good but they are a bit steep for my budget. Geoff - What size? Where from?
