October 7, 201510 yr Author OMG have I done something stupid !!! The bike came by courier, out of the packaging all I did was loosen and turn 90 degrees. I'll have to go and have a look and see if they're upside down ! Surely that's not upside down because the computer wouldn't be positioned correctly
October 7, 201510 yr that white righting needs be facing straight up it looks like, there not right tho.
October 7, 201510 yr If it came by courier, in a box, then the bike shop would normally position them like that to fit snugly in the box. Just re-position them as soundwave says. Sounds like you have been bitten by the bug the rest of us have. Think it is only after you've bought one of these machines that you really appreciate them. :)
October 7, 201510 yr There is definitely a common theme with Haibikes. Slackening the clamps and moving the bars, will make the riding position better, and also bring the brake levers to a more natural position. Also don't forget to install the factory supplied cable ties to any moving suspension part. Haibkes can't operate correctly without this fitment. Enjoy the bike.
October 7, 201510 yr Author Thanks for the replies guys. I've twisted them about 45 deg. so the switch is now face up.
October 7, 201510 yr Author Anybody know what these things are meant for, came with the bike ? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v449/DingleRoad/IMG_2939.jpg
October 17, 201510 yr Author Went out for a ride on my Haibike yesterday and can't stop smiling ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVBb2HPDfxM I've removed the video because I stupidly hadn't set the handlebars correctly. Replacement video on the way !
October 19, 201510 yr Author Thanks to eBikeshop for all their help ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rczr8iZ4w5E
October 19, 201510 yr For all that money you would think they could program the speed to read correctly in all settings. All the ebikes I have had and seen can manage it. It does look smart though.
October 20, 201510 yr For all that money you would think they could program the speed to read correctly in all settings. All the ebikes I have had and seen can manage it. It does look smart though. It's presumably got a third party dongle on it which is fooling the motor. Therefore the controller thinks the bike is travelling at half the actual speed hence the error on the display. That's one of the downsides to a dongle!
