February 10, 201610 yr is there a way to reduce the vibration in the battery. It's a rack battery and rattles quite a bit over bumps. Can I pad it with anything?
February 10, 201610 yr that depends on which battery you have but I usually put plenty of grease inside the rim of the controller box, on the battery connector and on the battery slider (which is bolted to the rack). Also, if you put a couple of large rubber bands over the battery / under the rack, that could stop the jolting.
February 10, 201610 yr Author Same as the one on this bike http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?petite. It slides onto a mount.
February 10, 201610 yr Try wrapping a couple of large rubber bands around the battery, after the rear light to stop it rattling. Make sure the bands go under the plastic rail that the battery slides on. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/2015/petite/petite-800.jpg
February 10, 201610 yr I use those 'furniture felt pads' normally used for cushioning chair legs on wooden floors. They stick on the base of the battery holder and take up the slack, enough to hold the battery firm enough to stop rattles.
