Due Diligence when buying an eBike or eBike parts

Featured Replies

I had no idea Mercedes built bikes. I'm learning on this forum.

They don't, they've twice marketed a pedelec as a promotional aid. The first was a Mercedes branded one in 2001 which was made by the Austrian company EMC-Puch. The current one under discussion is branded Smart, a Mercedes linked company, and it was built by German bike maker Grace and claimed to have been designed in the USA, though there's considerable doubt about the validity of that design claim.

With regards to your Gocycle, the necessity to pedal to get power is a legal requirement here in the UK and thoughout the EU. I believe only the maker could change it to the US software and I doubt they would do that for a UK model. Still, those who don't ask don't get, so by all means try.

There are people with a few different opinions on here, I own and drive a Daimler Mercedes Designer Smart eBike, there are a few jealous people who for some reason don't like classy intelligent helpful people, I am very low key on my ownership of a unique designer bike, I don't want to create rifts so not many people know about it.

Its bit like the labour party on here with a few liberals and right wingers, I get on with all as I am not opinionated and try to help forum members with education on class and due diligence.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride ;)

I've been following your threads for a while and in general have found them amusing. Your elitist stance is interesting but something wasn't quite right?

I've been waiting for you to slip up and you did in your other thread. I now know you're not the financial elite you said you were........

With your pointy finger guards you don't need a chest..
