Time for a tyre change?

Featured Replies

Got a puncture in my front tyre the other day.

Inspecting the tyre I noticed it had a split along it and realized it had been on since the bike was new.

It's done nearly 14'000 miles.

Not bad I thought.

I think it's time to replace it now I must have got my moneys worth out of it by now.

Go on then beat that, how many miles have others tyres been lasting?

You slipped up by not selling the bike before the tyre had worn out, and needed replacing.

Schoolboy error. :(

It's ok, I have replaced it with the tyre I took off the rear motor wheel which I put a Marathon+ on when it had only done about 1000 miles.

Sorted for another couple of years now.

To be honest, for safety's sake, I reckon you're better off having safer tread on your tyres than a few quid in the bank.
