Hi

Im fairly new to the pedelec scene. Received my new bike at the beginning of last week. Haibike sduro cross 2017. Yamaha motor. Use it to commute to work everyday. About 34 mile round trip. Already racked up 250-300 miles on it. Fantastic bike.

Im sure this may have been mentioned before - I thought i would see how much a 500w battery would be as i have 400w. Found that it is close to £850 for a yamaha battery! However, i managed to find a third party with samsung cells for only £299! On amazon, by a company called powergiant. Works out to be 468w battery. But really notice the difference in the battery percentage. So far so good and charges in about the same time as the 400w.

On a different note, what i did notice on the way home today is the noise level of my motor. Im sure it seems to be getting louder? Maybe im listening out for it more, but im almost certain its louder than the first week i had it? Anyone else notice the same thing eith their yamaha mid drive?

To reduce the noise, you can try cleaning and lubricating the wheel bearings and chain.
