Anyone seen this before the BBSHD shuts out?

Featured Replies

Voltage seems to bounce all over the place and then shuts down. Reseating the battery sometime resets it, otherwise it randomly starts working again after a bit before this happens again.

With an almost fully charged battery. Tested the battery immedately after and it reads 55.01V.

Could be a few things including poor connection or a weak cell string (or more)

The bbshd is a hungry bit of kit.

What are the battery specs please ?

I'll have to look up the cells

But a reading hot of charger should be 58.8v for a 14s battery (14 x 4.2v)

That was a decent 5m ride off the charger.

Fair play , id look at a duff connection being a good possibility then. If start with battery connection ( internal and external on both sides of battery and connector,)

Look for a break where the solder is soldered, I've seen a good few breaks here with physical connection which moves apart through vibration giving these symptoms (on other kits though to be fair)

Also personally had a few internal welds go on cell pack itself. Similarly with contact held but weaker or broken intermittently through vibration. Same symptoms

If it's software I'm notb any use to you !
