Volt Alpine X Derestricting

Featured Replies

Hello, I've been reading through some other threads and haven't had much luck using the display to derestrict my bike. This is the display that I'm currently using. Was just interested if I could just replace the display to derestrict or whether I would have to replace the controller too, I am open to either option. My only concern is that my display has a male end, whereas all the other ones I can find online are female. Any help is appreciated.

I would think that the controller and display work together as far as programming is concerned. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a way into the parameters through the display, but the chance of finding the right combination of button presses by random is not very high.

As long as you have the standard 9 pin connector on the motor, it's fairly straightforward to replace the controller, display and throttle to become master of your own destiny. the cost of a nice controller and LCD is about £60.
