April 12, 20206 yr Hi, my Haibke Sduro Allmtn c2016 has stopped working. When I press the power on the display illuminates everything on the screen then reverts to the clock. The battery appears to be fully charged as all bars come on when you press the on button however the bike works fine when I replace the battery with the one from my wife’s bike. Assuming therefore my battery has had it but don’t understand why bars come on as though charged. Any ideas? Cheers
April 13, 20206 yr Author Is there a separate battery in the handlebar display? like the Bosch. Yes but that’s fine, still shows the time when removed and I changed that battery just in case
April 14, 20206 yr Be very cautious. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/haibike-sduro-hardseven-sl-2015-yamaha-7-month-1600-miles.22644/page-8
April 14, 20206 yr Be cautious, this message was sent to me after I posted how I replaced the battery and charger connections on my Yamaha battery and charger. Help! We have two Haibike Sduro Hardsevens, whilst away on holiday one stopped working with the battery flashing E and F and would not switch on. Thinking this was a battery fault I swapped that battery for the other and that developed the same fault. I put one battery on charge to see if this would reset the problem, it didn't. I rang the dealer about the problem and tried to reset the batteries with button presses as directed, no effect. On return to the UK I delivered the bikes and batteries to the dealer for assessment and hopefully warranty repair. I've just heard that because the bikes are a few months outside the warranty Raleigh will not repair them for free. I was told the motors of the second bike has been damaged by putting a faulty battery onto that bike and switching it on so the cost I have been quoted for repair of both bikes for two motors and two batteries is .. £2280! The bikes have not been hard used nor abused, mine has covered about 2500miles my partners (the original faulty one) only about 500miles. Both are stored inside the house when not in use. This fault is nothing that we have done surely a motor should last longer than that and how on earth can a motor then take out the other motor via a faulty battery? This doesn't sound right to me. Has anyone had a similar fault of batteries flashing E and F? Can the battery be repaired i.e. an internal fuse be replaced? Does anyone know of a place that could refurb them? Do I have any consumer rights under "Fit for purpose"? I would be grateful for any help and advice as to what to do next. £2280 is more than I paid for one bike originally. Thanks https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/haibike-sduro-hardseven-sl-2015-yamaha-7-month-1600-miles.22644/page-8

Looks like the only alternative is to buy a new battery. Anyone recommend the best place for a replacement please? Thanks

April 14, 20206 yr Author I thought the Bosch batteries were silly prices. That’s more than I paid for the bike! Trouble is it’s worthless without it but so I spend £800 on the battery or buy a new bike?
April 14, 20206 yr Slightly less bad at https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yamaha-Electric-Battery-500-Watts-Drive/dp/B0725SDRCH
April 14, 20206 yr you could ask jimmy if he can do anything with the one you have here https://ebikebatteries.co.uk/ or gamble with a 3rd party made pack. https://www.manomano.co.uk/p/li-ion-electric-bike-battery-yamaha-type-36v-13ah-468wh-7960350 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Battery-E-bike-intensilo-14500mAh-for-36V-HAIBIKE-SDURO-/283597238086?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10
October 2, 20205 yr I am still waiting for a response from Haibike - almost 10 days with no response. If they are the worlds best MTB as they state on their website one would expect a reply at the very least. At this stage I am prepared to purchase a similar product from China and get it repacked.
October 2, 20205 yr haibike make the frame and nothing else i doubt you will ever get a reply Possibly...however it doesn't make sense when building brands to ignore your customers...
October 2, 20205 yr https://ebikebatteries.co.uk/ they custom make packs and are the only place that can recell a bosch batt so may be able to help
October 3, 20205 yr Hi, I have not used him but at the end of this thread I started about my own battery/charger connector issues there is a member called Cosas who has said he can fix Yamaha battery problems either with the connectors or the BMS by fitting his own designed BMS. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/yamaha-battery-charger-problem.31092/
