Just got bike out of storage, charged battery, all lights working on handlebars but no drive at rear wheel, also rear wheel won't spin backwards. Could this be a quick fix as was hoping to take it away next week.

Not turn backwards or not spin backwards? Can you explain what you mean?

Sorry if I try to push the bike backwards or lift the rear wheel up the wheel is solid so I suppose I should have said spin backwards, I've removed the chain to eliminate that and checked the brakes so I'm assuming it is something in the hub. Thanks

Should have mentioned the hub is an 8FUN

It must be full of rust. you'll have to open it and clean it out. It might need a new clutch and gears that don't cost much.

 

One other thing before you open it. If any of the three main motor wires are touching each other, it'll also lock the motor, though, unless a mouse has chewed your cable, that doesn't normally happen by itself in a shed. If it was definitely working when you stored it, it must be rust or the mouse.
