Controllers don't fry for nothing, and it's very difficult to fry them. Why do you think it's fried? What did you do to it?

Is it a 15A controller?

Why did the mosfet blow.

Does your present controller give enough power for your needs.

What size (capacity) and voltage battery do you have?

When we know the answers to these questions, we can give appropriate advice for a replacement.

15a yes

Think the mosfet blow as the wires on the hub had been chewed by a dog and all the wires where touching

So, 36v 15A.

Two more questions because I previously made assumtions: I'm assuming using that you have an LCD of some sort. You know that most LCDs are specific to the controller? Which one did you get with the new controller?

I think we need to take a step back. Can you show exactly what bike it is and can you show the listing for the new controller? Why did you buy a bigger one?

Still using the original

Low mid high

The controller was supposed to be same size from his listing

But when it came it was a lot bigger

OK, some progress. It looks like that controller doesn’t fit. It's pretty crappy anyway and it has the old three speed switch, that's useless, instead of a control panel. That picture of the bike seems to show an LCD. What do you actually have.

If got it working during self leaning, you should congratulate yourself because most people wouldn't figure out how to switch it on. It should be OK for testing, but I wouldn't use it for riding unless you're really strapped for cash. That's if you can figure out where to put it.

I'm still finding it difficult to recommend anything because I don't understand what you're trying to achieve. Do you just want the bike the same as it was before or are you wanting more power or speed, or do you want a better control system that makes the bike better to ride.

All controllers for sensored motors should work, but they have different ways they deal with pedal assist.

I got interrupted doing the above post. You can get a three level controller with LED panel. Note that they've got their wiring notation a bit mixed up:

or you can get one with an LCD:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305155321638?itmmeta=01HRQGRCJG15ZHDAXM2JQ7CR2B&hash=item470cacaf26:g:J4gAAOSw7OVjUi3~&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0AHacBdeJdAveaZh0ZHhwROQe9v21FGjF5gt%2BvLSID4TVWUX2ERriT7dXamxVA2%2Fx8d%2Fx14vbrb65g4P0ANekxDMbUp9QRvqga1ecvr9UKZ6OzmXfy%2FoxnHwqFEw6fcnvvoiLd7AOe4--8oKhT5%2BdvbCuz2QfyRMFOEEV3bD8WeZalDjlRZ0LQsztfAeqvcnuUa3G6%2FHdlFFggRUjsqZzQ6zr7ZC8GKVWfRMudSRFzicFz%2BpwLkigxr3LDUU6mJm4czYF65nbLoSs86MzVsh4pQ%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR67J4fDFYw

or you can get one with LCD that gives a much better ride and control system:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134851266899?itmmeta=01HRQH92CYKYKAJDVCNY7D67BH&hash=item1f65c30953:g:B~MAAOSwwnhlee~0&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0HB%2F9%2FENr%2BJoFrv1inzTe3ElmH5yVokLMwTAdaozgSVGGMH9edBUNrEmEoKdmqJkWTshZoV4KM38RoxJQ5uKQlYP6NfEbBlRvwyoapHzEhOgEdxBeCoqHjm7TddRcI3GKb944nZWdwhxNySrpUazMW6VN63b9o3htBLc0aTqcoDJZzqcDJL4FYp%2FD7vkdsTQbSW5VNwQg5injAOdsmjTGi5UP98OXWH7TjBQIxvvb3oT2GhATUX3pZC2ZvTWQVDW%2FtwD4L3cjwz5Rsdi%2FzNqBek%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8SmpPHFYw

It would work, but why would you want to use that one? It has no control panel, so you'd need to find and install a switch somehow. It has the useless three-speed switch which requires another switch (3 position), and they don't tell you the size, so you could end up with another one that doesn't fit.

Appreciate all the help so far mate

Yes, but it says it's only 13A, so 87% of the power of your original. You can get more power by adding a bit of solder to the shunt inside of it. the shunt is a piece of metal that looks like a staple. If you solder 10% of its length, you get 10% more power. Normally, just soldering up one leg is about right. That's if you need the power. Another thing is that it'll be unrestricted, so might be illegal, depending on your motor's max speed.

The LCD ones are a lot better, but they cost more.
