Tranzx Logix error codes

Featured Replies

Hi, with some great help from the forum uses, I've managed to get both my Raleigh Stow E Ways up and running. It seems I have a bad battery but one works fine. I finally plugged up the bike to my laptop to see if the Logix software works. It found the bike and I started to run diagnostics. Nothing really worked and then I saw on the display the error codes E0800 and E0801. I looked them up on the error code list and it seems to be a communication issue between the display and the control. The bike works absolutely fine. Does anybody have experience with this software and more sepcifically with these codes. Any help would be welcome!

Update the bike software, re-run the diagnostics report, post the PDF here. The battery may be recoverable.

AFAIR, it's a closed cadence sensor that craps out because it fills with debris and rainwater thrown up from the front wheel. Contact cleaner and reseating all the plugs might help.

Thanks for this. In fact both bikes had dirty sensors. It was cleaning this that made the bikes work! None of the shops I took the bikes to were able to work this out even though they were "specialists"!!

I'll try and update the bike's software. Not quite sure how to do it but I know there's a video somewhere.

Probably specialist salesmen, not specialist e-bike mechanics.

Fair point!

Hi, I've finally got all the software updates done on my bike. All is good with the good battery. When I put in the bad battery, I get the error codes 0800 and 0801. The bike is recognised by my laptop but I get no data at all about the bike including the batteries. When I ran this test, the softward didn't connect to the servers. It only does that sometimes. Any clues?

If both bikes run with the good battery, then measure the output voltage of the bad and say here - at a guess it may be too low voltage/damaged BMS that account for 800 errors. Without digging out an old laptop I can't see what diagnostics info I still have. If the bike sometimes doesn't connect to TranzX servers it may be they're down for maintenance (especially weekends/overnight).

If the bad battery when awake is below min (say 28/30v), there's advice elsewhere here to tell you how to check/boost cells, or you can still buy new BL21s, or pre-built higher-capacity cell packs off Ali that you need to fit for IIRC £150-£200.

Hi, maybe it's off topic, but does anyone know where I can get this diagnostic Software to check on my tranzX bike?

.... here in Germany they only let dealers have this Software but not cyclists.

You have an active/intense network of maybe 100 dealers selling/servicing TranzX driven e-bikes spread across Germany plus the main TranzX manufacturer base/distributor based in Bad Nauheim.

The UK only ever had 2 bike brands selling TranzX driven e-bikes - Ebco & Raleigh - both now making/selling bikes with other drive systems (Raleigh UK now only sells one old-design e-bike still using it, which is the one the OP has), so generally we don't have a TranzX network of sales or support here anymore. The diagnostic software has since that abandonment been posted for download by Raleigh themselves on their now discontinued Zendesk help forum, and more lately I've seen it on Reddit... or you find a friendly dealer... AFAIK none are official.

I have the software but I'm not sure how to send it. It won't allow an .exe file to be sent. If you can work this out you can have it. You will need an old version of Adobe Acrobat to make it work. I believe the user name is dealer and the password is dealerpasword. I hope this is ok to post.

I tried to check the voltage but I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. I use the two outer contacts don't I?

Greetings,

if you use the Messenger Telegram, you might want to send it to @regelien

On Telegram one can send a file up to 2 Gb.

I have the software but I'm not sure how to send it. It won't allow an .exe file to be sent.

If you rename it (eg to .notexe) you should be able to send it, depending on the email service.

The receiver will then need to rename it back to execute it.

Alternative, try a file sharing service such as https://wetransfer.com/

Hi, I've finally tested the "bad" battery. I'm getting 40.7 v across the two outer pins. Nothing on the two middle pins but I believe they are the canbus system. 40.7 seems plenty. The good battery was 42v. Please let me know what you think. This thread has been enormously helpful so far.

40.7v is low for a fully charged battery... fresh off the charger it should measure better than 41.5v.

I'd open it up and check for weak cells/cell strings.

I'm not sure I have the skill set to do that. Any other suggestions?

UPDATE. I fully charged the "bad" battery and got 41.7 v which is exactly the same as the "good" battery. I'm going to check the contacts as the "bad" battery appears to have a wider gap than the good one. I'll keep you posted.
