Has anyone looked at these? They seem a bit better designed than the top bike kits

Same issue: your links do not display in the UK, at least not today, not on my device. If you are not in the UK, you won't be able to see what I am seeing.

 

Maybe you should say why you think that particular Brompton kit is good or better than others. It seems to be exactly the same price - just over £500 UK, so no obvious advantage over readily available alternatives, or a roll your own solution.

Well the battery\controller mount on the front bag block does look better than the TOPBIKEKIT setup;

 

 

Difficult to comment on the rest, the bike shown is not a geniune Brompton, so who knows if it fits on a standard Brompton.

 

The other issue, when buying from the far East, is to know whether the bits are standard easy to replace bits, so your not locked into parts just from them.

Looks pretty much standard (which is a good thing!) akm-85 motor, standard 12 magnet cadence sensor - I'd want the 10Ah battery. I suspect the one in the photos is the small 5Ah battery. Topbikekit I think use the lighter AKM-75 front hub motor

Yep, does look pretty standard stuff, not sure about the battery connector though.

 

But the Brompton is rim brakes on meagre 16" rims, so instant death on an electric bike, given some of the 'advice' I have seen ....................

From the side, the battery looks like a No.74 Sticky Bomb. Can it take out an SUV in a high speed collision? I worry the weight of the horizontal battery waggling up and down either end will twist and break the frame mounting bracket eventually, if plastic, with the blast leaving yet another crater in the road for my bike to fall into.
