Sigle size bikes

Featured Replies

Has anyone had issues with single sized bikes just looking at a couple step through ones but being short in stature wonder how good they are for the shorter of us.
You may find it a bit cumbersome to move when not riding (eg pushing over pavement edge) as the handlebars may be quite high for you. Made worse by the fact it will probably be quite heavy; both being an ebike and being a step-through tend to add to the weight. Make sure you can get the saddle low enough.

The saddle height is the most important thing, and the manufacturer probably gives the range of rider heights the bike should fit.

Reach matters, but there is often not much difference from size to size, so changing to a shorter stem and swept back bars might be enough.

If for low mileage use, probably OK. If intended for high mileage use, I'd be less keen.

If you're short, don't get one with 700c size wheels. 26" wheels are OK down to about 5' 3". Below that, one with smaller wheels would probably be better.
