Everything's Ubuntu homepage | Ubuntu The only downside that I've experienced is that, while there's drivers for most hardware, if you have something unusual (in my case guitar usb interfaces), there may not be specific drivers available, but this is improving all the time. I love Linux Ubuntu. It doesn't work for every machine but I've found it excellent for personal use and an old laptop I had lying around. I've been very tempted by Apple Macs but like lots of things I get stuck at the do I really, really need one of those stage.
