my office building is instituting a ban on lithium-ion cell e-bikes. what options do i have?

see above. i thought i could get a lithium battery bike but found out that apparently lithium = lithium-ion=li-on (3rd one is what they mention in email) ??? does that mean conversion kit is my only option? many thanks! regards

Is the Perry Ehopper a good ebike?

Yep I've decided to give this one a skip. I'm thinking of getting a Fiido D21 if company approves cycle scheme, a Fiido D4s/Himo z20 if it doesn't.

    Fiido D21

Fair enough thanks. Sounds like it's more about onboarding new shops as opposed to increasing amount of companies offering the benefit

    Fiido D21

I had a brief look at it, and I'm no expert at all about all of this, but why would an employer potentially reject having a cycle 2 work scheme but accept green initiative one?

    Fiido D21

I'll check it out because there is a chance my work won't introduce the cycle scheme. Hopefully then this GCI is an alternative. The company got back and confirmed that they sell the bikes on the scheme! So now down to waiting and hoping company introduces this.

    Fiido D21

Thanks! Was actually one of the sites I looked on but dismissed because didn't see any mention of the scheme. Have contacted them directly to confirm but assuming for now they no longer offer it :-(

    Fiido D21

Any chance you know which one? None of the dozen or so sights I've found fiido or himo on have offered the scheme Many thanks

ideally 15kg e-bike for a 15m commute (total there and back) ideally under £800 in London

Out of interest does anyone know if there are any online retailers who sell himo / fiido / ado with a cycle to work scheme? Edit - to be more precise, one which doesn't mark up the price first. I've found one site so far that sells the z20 himo for 1039, which after cycle scheme would come up...

Is the Perry Ehopper a good ebike?

is 7ah significantly better? thats what the MiRider has but thats 1.6k... in any case the thread for now is a bit moot as Perry has raised the price to £999 so wont be buying from them out of principle hah. which leaves the Fiido D3S. This website has it for <£600 and with a 7.5ah...

Is the Perry Ehopper a good ebike?

thank you for the response. do you think an estrali at £1.2/1.3k will be significantly better? thinking of this one: https://www.estarli.co.uk/products/e16-folding-ebike?variant=42092565692643 says battery is 6.4 so presumably not much better. Regarding assistance - im a reasonably fit (more of...

I think e-go bike lite is another seemingly affordable good brand option at 15kg for £899?

ideally 15kg e-bike for a 15m commute (total there and back) ideally under £800 in London

no doubt, but unfortunately 3-4x more expensive than what i would like to spend, especially assuming no cycle to work scheme at work.

Hi all starting new job in August and the office is based in victoria, london. i live near crystal palace triangle so will be riding down the steep gipsy hill (200-250ft or so elevation) but then once down, its pretty easy commute (7.5m each way). if my company has a cycle to work scheme i am...
