Magic Pie kits and Alien Ocean

Neil, if you can manage 9 miles in under 20 minutes it doesnt seem like you would benefit from an electric bike to me. Most of the bikes cut power off at approx 15 mph so then you would be pedalling the motor and battery etc with no assistance. I'm new to electric bikes but where I live...

Stealth or obvious which do you prefer.

I felt a little embarrased at first, always explaining I've had an operation on my knee, but thats gone now. I love overtaking normal cyclists on hills especially the racer types - a bit childish I know but I love to see their shock when a middle aged (plus a bit) slightly overweight bloke...

    Cycle lanes - Happy days!

I'm in the process of moving house, and my new place will only be about 2.5 miles from work, a few medium steep hills but no problem on the electric bike. Plus as a lucky bonus there is a cycle lane both ways except for about 500 yards. Cant wait to use the bike much more often than now and...

Aldi Special buys Thurs 16th Sept - cycling gear

Sounds strange - mines been fine, could it be slipping or moving as you lean forward into the handlebars but coming back into place if you sit up straighter at the lights? Try putting a bit more water ont the chest sensor it says that improves the connection I put mine on dry at first and it...

Aldi Special buys Thurs 16th Sept - cycling gear

I couldnt resist the heart rate monitor as well, but it took me ages to decipher the instructions too! Had a brisk walk today as it was very windy so decided to leave the bike but will try it out tomorrow on the bike if the weather is better:)

Aldi Special buys Thurs 16th Sept - cycling gear

Aldi I'll give the cycling hangar a miss then as so many of you have them still in the box! I did think - Oh that might come in useful - but then common sense kicked in!

Aldi Special buys Thurs 16th Sept - cycling gear

I've never tried the cycling kit before but I think I'm going to get some and give it a go as it seems great value for money for the casual cyclist. The winter gloves look good - windproof, waterproof and breathable for £4.99! Has anyone used the Aldi stuff before, if so what do you think of...

SLA batteries - do i leave on constant charge?

My bike uses SLA batteries, the instruction booklet says to charge for 6-8 hours and then unplug. However my parents in law have used electric golf trolleys with SLA batteries for over 30 years and say I should leave them on charge constantly, what is the best way for a bike? Thanks.

If you could give me just 1 tip - what would it be?

Hi I am new to the world of electric bikes so would like to ask all you experienced people about things you've learned during your time - if you could give me just 1 tip - what would it be? Cheers
