Hi All

After a couple of years my trusty 36v/20Ah Li-Ion battery is dying, it only getting to 36v fully charged, i have tried other chargers and checked output and its over 42v.

It used to be 42v fully charged.

This is the battery - https://bmsbattery.com/70-36v-li-ion

Cheers

You have to check the individual cell voltages at the BMS before going any further. That will tell you if there's a chance of repair.

Your link goes to all the BMSB 36v batteries,, so isn't very helful.

D8veh is yer man

But you'll need to cut open the shrunk wrap and get to the bms circuit board.

You'll also need a multimeter

If you do this and take a photo of the bms and post here web can advise of readings to take and how

Cheers

Edit- my local maplin had a really nice digital one at 9.99 down from 29.99

But not on the website - I checked:(

You have to peel off the shrink tube to get to the multipin connector. You might even see swollen cells.

Could I ask, aprox how many charges has it had and how many miles you got with it?
