Hi I have a power cycle e bike which is giving me some trouble. When I'm cycling along it can suddenly loose power someone suggested to me that I might need a new battery.
The last time I tried it I took out the battery and tried to cycle without but it still did the same thing without the battery. it is like as if there is a break on so I now reckon it must be the back wheel which is the driving hub. When I rang the supplier he said as it was made in China it wasn't worth fixing as it would need a new back wheel. Has anyone had this kind of issue and what can one do to sort it out. I like the bike as it is a low step through

Sudden power loss could be a few things, ancient battery among them. We're going to need some photo's and a bit more detail in order to help.

When you say loses power do you mean the pedals turn without driving the wheel?

If this occurs without a battery connected then it must be mechanical. Maybe the pawls in the freewheel are sticking. A bit of oil can sometimes fix this.
