Bafang bbs01 250W settings

Hello everybody,

I drive for a while a bafang bbs01 250W conversion kit but i wanted a bit mor fun.
With the fantastic help of this forum i changed some settings with my pc and the changes are really good, more power and good speed.
Now i'm wondering if these changed settings are not harmfull for my motor.
Here are some pictures of the original and new settings.

You are on the limit at 20 amps the 350watt is usually 18 amps as standard and the 250watt only 15 amps
do you ride on the flat or hill climb ? does the motor get hot

That's not so good then? Motor was not hot, always flat, speed between 30-35, power 240-280A.
Wich changes do i make to stay at 18amps, i set the current amps on 16.

The max current is 20 amps in the controller info you are set at 16 try 18 check if it gets warm , also try upping the keep current

So we are going to upgrade even further? Are you sure this is still safe for the controller?

The max I have used is 20 amps but I now run at 18 amps this is ok on the flat/ hills , but have to be careful what gear you are in and not to let the motor labour but this also has a 36 tooth chain ring as it was on a trike so a lower top speed but more pulling power required

The controller can go pop even with standard settings if abused, so its a personal choice, but on the 36 v 500 the watt max current is set to 25 amps they get warm

remember more current = less range and more heat or a bigger capacity battery is needed
That's why the suppliers set at only 15 amps and a low keep current less returns / replacement under warranty

Thanks, i'm gonna try this in the next days but probable my settings now are safe.
Another question, suddenly the throttle is dead, has this someting to to with te changed settings? I changed nothing in the throttle page, is still standard.

Things only get hot when you use high power and low pedal speed. As long as you keep your cadence up, you'll be OK, so make sure that your bottom gear is low enough to keep the pedals spinning when you climb steep hills, and don't be lazy with your gear-shifting. Use all the gears as you accelerate away from a start.

The throttle settings are not right you have accidently over written them
I only load one page at a time because of this did you note/save your basic settings

Yes i have, So what should I do now, the throttle tabs are the same, should i first set the basic settings back and then change them back?

Ok, I connected my controller, i loaded the standard settings el file , i clicked read flash, then clicked write flash, bike is back slow , throttle is still not working. Now changed back to "fun" settings and gone for a fun ride.
What a strange system this is. I drive 27 km / h while it is not going faster, switch one gear higher (lower cadence) and then continue to 33 km / h. It seems as if he knows that I switch.

I do not use read flash I change each page one at a time the throttle start and end voltages are wrong set at 10

Up to how many watts on the display can I go with the 250w version? 400? Is it safe if I set current speed to 100%?

The 250w 15a bbs01 will out put approx 430w max to the drive train.
