Bafang bbs02 how to connect controller to a pc?

I have had to buy new controller for my bafang bbs02
Been told need to connect to pc to check settings to try and increase its life
36 v 500w
Can anyone recommend settings and how to connect it?

You need to download the free software programme to your pc as well as buying the programming lead about £20 last time I looked.
