Hello there. I purchased a Bafang 8fun conversion kit for my dawes discovery last spring. Its a 36v 250w motor and was supplied with a 10.4ah battery (I think).

I've noticed recently that there doesn't seem to be as much power going to the motor so I've purchased a replacement battery for a very good price. The new battery is 36v 504w 14ah and the same kind/shape so will be plug and play into the rear rack connection as the previous battery is/was

I've been googling and ogling and bamboozling myself as I don't seem to be getting any clear answers to the fact that I might have bought a battery that won't work in the current setup and wondered if it would be as simple as just replacing the battery.

Hopefully some kind soul can give me some advice.

As long as your battery is 36v it will work, the greater capacity just means greater range. Always with a battery no matter where sourced check and make sure polarity is correct otherwise you will blow the controller.
