Bezior xf owner. Fat tyre bike

I have just purchased this bike for travelling around Western Australia.
I need various bits of advice. Like how to remove the battery

Mine came from two lovely back packers from Sardinia. No manual, no rear footpegs. However it is a geared 1000w hub motor. And although there is a key for battery lock, it doesnt seem to want to pull out at either key rotation. Ive charged it in bike for now.
Lovely bike all the same but this battery removal is bugging me.

Mine is an xf 001 it has not been modified to go faster as yet,

I would try to turn the key and pull at the back.
