I'm not exactly a new member, as I originally started posting 2 years since.
I live with my family not far from Oslo, in a semi rural area near the coast. Also very close to lots of good forest trails, tracks etc., that range from easy to possibly some of the death inducing difficult as you'll find anywhere.
I have been biking to work here almost every day from when I first arrived 20 years ago.
I retired this year at the age of 68. Having kept myself fit (brainwashed ex squaddy) most my life in various sports.
My debut into self build BAFANG bikes came after buying a lovely used, finished build from a forum member in N.W. England.
I over time converted 3 bikes myself over here and sold 2 of them. A 2009 Commmencal DH and a 2017 Specialized . Though still riding the 3rd, a 2010 Yeti 575, a lovely ride that suits me fine. This kit building malarky is something that doesn't come too easily to a bloke of my limited technical abilities. But.., so happy I caught the bug.., despite many hard lessons learned!
