Changing a cassette on an e-bike/ granny gear!

Ah, yes that will cause you problems, it's too wide. You need a 1/2" x 3/32" chainwheel to match your chain. 1/2" x 1/8" is for single speed or IGH's.

Check your chain with a 1/8 or 3mm drill bit. If it goes through, you have a 1/8 chain. If not, it's a 3/32.

If I buy a new (1/8) chain to fit this chainring, will it be OK on my rear cassette?
