Every time I watch YouTube I get adverts like this. If you buy two, you get 25% off and if you wait a while, they give you a discount code for 15% off. That brings the cost down to about £19. I'm very tempted, but inflation has squeezed my weekly spending money to £2 a week, so it'll take me 20 weeks to save up, and I'm worried that the offer might be over by then. What about a couple of you guys coming in with me so that we can get three for £17 each with free shipping. I could maybe stretch that far with my credit card.

Now I understand how those kids in Cardiff got their hands on a Sur Ron bike. You can get them here for £32. It's a shame they died because it says you can try it risk free or you can claim on their their 30 day guarantee.

It's a plan! I've sent you ten times what I paid you last week!

I'd definitely be in on this group buy, but I've just bought a Kirby vacuum cleaner, paid some guys to tarmac my drive, and bought a Dyson hair dryer, so I'm cleaned out. If the offer's still on next month, count me in. I do love a bargain and this looks mint

For 95 negative reviews, there must have been some multiple of a 1000 purchases = £29,150 at the very least. Probably one of many such profitable scams advertised on social media, with the resulting funds funnelled through shell companies, turned into crypto as small sums, converted to other crypto/tumbled to make it impossible to trace before ending up in North Korea as US dollars; some North Korean's career.

I know someone who ordered one of these, not believing for a second he would receive it and did so for his own amusement. Instead of the promised bike, he received a pair of cheap, Chinese broken sunglasses instead. He paid via PayPal and despite a lengthy dispute, failed to receive a refund. He has no regrets and the lengthy string of emails between him and the trader provided much entertainment.

As for the legalities of the 'trader' terms, I would question this: "Only regular priced items may be refunded; unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded", particularly as every item appears to be reduced!

I did the same for a 16TB external storage device for £20. That was on Aliexpress. They were everywhere on Amazon, Aliexpress and other places. I was curious to see what you got, and knew that I was covered by Aliexpress, so I ordered one. It arrived after about 10 days. I plugged it into my PC, and sure enough it showed 16TB; however, it was very light, like an empty box, so I opened it to see what was inside. There was a double micro SD card reader with a single 128GB micro SD and a chip that had some spoofing software in it. I had to jump through a few hoops to get my money back, but it was pretty straight forward. I ended up with a free 128gb micro SD card for my trouble.

A while ago, I did the same for a smart watch that came up on a Youtube ad, that had many good features for about £30, but they sent me a basic watch that you could buy on Aliexpress for $1.50. I had paid with Paypal, so was covered. Before Paypal would refund me the £30, they wanted me to send the $1 watch back to the seller at a cost of £19. I was speaking with them on the phone and told them that it wasn't worth it for anybody, but they insisted, so I sent it back and got refunded the £49. I'm guessing that Paypal charged the seller for the £19 as a sort of fine.

I watched yesterday a yt video showing how quickly someone can jack your pc if you have a cordless keyboard or mouse. The USB is a security risk, especially if you have anything wireless plugged into any of them. Who says they won't put in a fake 16TB ssd a backdoor.exe?

I avoided using USB charging points on public transport, until I bought several of these - of course malware could be built into these too lol:

One of the reasons why I still keep away from mini PC made in China.
There is no point avoiding made in China PCs.
Most printed circuit boards are made in China and most malware arrive in your mailbox. There is no way you can be certain that your pc is completely safe. I have a dumb phone I use for two factor authentication so I can have banking on my normal phone and laptop. I also have two laptops , one for finance and one for normal office work. I also use several VMs to run legacy stuff.

I Tested an HDMI Adapter That Demands Your Location, Browsing Data, Photos, and Spams You with Ads
The cookies from that website not only want to do all that the headlines mention, but it wants to do it on all your devices, so you give permission for your laptop and it starts spying on you when you're on your phone.

I can't get rid of the feeling that all Chinese stuff is filled with trackers and bugs. I remember the scandal with Xiaomi phones which turned out to collect the users' data nad sent it to China.

Every software company collects data from your devices. The worst culprits are those that hold a large chunk of stock of the software companies because they may get special access directlyto their servers. Chinese Tencent is suspected to be an agent for the CCP. Tencent owns a fair chunk of tiktok and Discord for example.

i'm not worried about them sending my data to China. What are they going to do with all my porn videos. I'd be a lot more worried if they were sending my data to UK.
