Cyclamatic folding bike - ignition key

Hi all : I hav managed to lose both of the ignition keys which came with my cyclamatic folding bike. I need to use it to get to work but at the moment I can't use the electric motor as I can't turn on the motor. Is there a way to bypass the ignition key or get a replacement somehow? I purchased the bike off the internet so I don't have a local dealer I can easily find to help.

You have to replace the lock. It's not possible to get keys if you don't already have one.

As a temporary measure, you can bypass the lock. You have to take the top off the battery, remove the two screws in the lock, prise out the lock, unsolder the two wires from the back or cut them off, then join them together by soldering them or twisting them together. When you get your new lock, you solder the wires back on to it.

Thanks - you've saved my poor legs on the commute to work! I'll try this in the next cople of days and hope I don't make a mess of it........

I bypassed mine with a switch&waterproof cover from maplin, because I couldn't find anyone selling the lock and the connection had failed. Worked fine.
