Cyclamatic power pluss key in ignition

Hi guys, first time posting here. My cyclamatic power pluss ebike arrived today, and I've put it all together, but when I turn the ignition on, I can't take out the key. Seems a bit odd, and I can't find any information online, is that normal? I can take it out when the power is off, or to remove the battery, but not when power is on?

Hi Michael, I think it is like that on many bikes. It certainly is on my freego

I confirm that is normal on many e-bikes. I suppose it does ensure that you are never stranded elsewhere without a key.

My cyclamatic has a worn key and can be taken out when its switched on.
It can also fall out when riding so I have to make sure I remove it and keep it in my pocket.
Life would be simpler if it was like yours.
