Ebike for wife 5 foot tall

I got brilliant advice on here and really enjoying cycling again. So much so that me and the lad
Are going out and the wifes being left out. A few years ago I bought her a Raleigh pioneer metro lx.
It's done about 5 miles. She's just not comfortable on the roads. I thought about a conversion but
It's maybe not the best bike for off road anyway plus I would have to' pay someone to do it. So not very cost effective.

I, thinking maybe sell my Falcon hybrid and her pioneer and put the money towards an ebike for her.

Its got to be a stepthru and not big . Maybe 24 inch wheel possible 26 but with a small frame. To be capable of light trails woods and parkland. But I cannot find an MTB style that suits that requirement.

The Woosh petite is on budget ( probably up to 1200) but would prefer something a bit sportier. And preferably not a battery right at the back hanging over the wheel.

Would anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks.

Given how little riding she has done, I suggest hiring a ebike for half day. Keep riding to seal surfaces or smooth tracks like canal paths, no mtb tracks.
If she likes it then start search for a bike.

Most step-throughs have the battery over the back wheel. The only ones that don't in that price range I can think of are the ByoCycles Zest, Kudos Sprint, Powabyke Shopper and the Oxygen S-cross ST. The oxygen might be a bit big with 700c wheels.

You could add the Juicy Bike range Dave, none of which have the battery on the rack.
@Tugwell Gibson You might like to take a trip to the London Bike Show in a week or two where many electric bikes will be available to test ride. Our own Poco (24" Step-thru) will be there too and you'd be welcome to try.

We sell a lot of Wisper 806 folders to ladies who are looking for a low saddle and step through. It's one of the the lowest out there but has many of the same components as our bigger bikes. The big plus is the bike can also be enjoyed by six footers.

It will be offered as a second hand, only a few minor scratches on the paintwork. Offers invited at around £500.

I've got a Benelli City Link Sport. Not sat on a bike for 45 years and love it! I'm 5'6ins with short legs and this bike is the ideal size for me. It's got 20" wheels and is good for light trails etc. They're going for just under £1000 now.

Very nice little bike. The front suspension is a good feature there
