Designer turned entrepreneur invents electric motorbike that 'goes like stink’
Ex-Formula One and aerospace engineer Lawrence Marazzi has spent five years building the ultimate electric motorbike.

I saw this on the DailyTelegraph site and am impressed but puzzed by the claimed "runs 100 miles with a 12-mile reserve on a single charge.”

why puzzled?

is it because of "reserve" - if so this is just for motorbikers who are used to a reserve tank (throwback from when we didn't have a fuel gauge)

the zero motorcycles is a little more mainstream, which makes it not so blooming ugly, have less blind spots and much cheaper i bet (he's hinting at 15k retail....not many pay that much for a bike) they are good fun to play with, but no noise is just too odd for a motorbike.

Hmmm, i'm not sure "sci-fi like red dwarf" is exactly what they meant though.....

also doesn't seem to "go like stink" to me 0-60 in under 4 seconds......by comparison, the zero does it in 4.8 (and thats a commuter), and my aging aprilia tuono in 2.8

unless of course its 3 seconds under 4 seconds
