I notice our Guru is nearing the huge achievement of 10,000 posts. Id just like to say thanks for all the informative posts and personal help you have provided over my time on the forum. Perhaps we should get you a gold keyboard in recognition. Well done in advance of breaking through the barrier and keep up the good work.

I've been wondering about that Nick. I hit a similar barrier when looking at my posting history only showed the last 500 posts. That was then changed so it now shows the last 1500, well short of what I've posted of course. All of my posts are available to see if the links are known, it's just the history list has a limit.

Maybe, but that didn't stop the Y2K panic happening then rather than something sensible like 2048, 2128, 2060 or 2156.

Well, the 10,000 proved to be ok and I don't suppose going beyond 99,999 will ever trouble me.

That would need at least a few dozen helmet threads.
