Military e-bikes

Electronic bikes have already made their mark on European cities – delivery riders swear by them. But they are also poised to have a big impact on the battlefield. The British army is trialling the use of e-bikes to sneak up on enemy positions and blow up tanks, reports The Times. Ukrainians have already shown that such things can be very effective against Russian armour. Unlike gas-guzzling models, e-bikes are almost completely silent. This means a soldier could take anti-tank weapons right up to the frontline. Currently, they are testing a £6,500 off-road electric bike model called Stealth H-52, which has a range of about 200 miles. Move over petrol heads, the future has arrived.

I guess if they buy dangerous enough batteries they can use the bikes a bit like fireships were used in the old days.

It sounds like they're trying to copy the Russian tactics. the Russians are using those 4WD ATV motorbike things. They stick the ATV in some bushes, then lie in a field with a Bazooka. When the Ukrainian tanks come, they take one out with an RPG, jump on the ATV and dart half a kilometer behind a hedge, then lie in wait for the next one.

I can't believe that an electric motorbike is going to be any better. The tanks and trucks make so much noise, they wouldn't be able to hear a 4-stroke ATV, especially when the front tank in the column has just been blown up and is still burning. The 4 stroke would be lighter, have much more range and won't spontaneously catch fire and blow up all your stored ammo.

Where are they going to charge electric vehicles on the front line?
