Watched this for years, thought may as well sign up. Wife has a Kalkoff, says it's too heavy, so going to convert her old TREK with a WOOSH BPM. Hope she's happier with that.

Maybe you've worked it out, but I don't think a converted Trek will be significantly lighter than your Kalkhoff.

The BPM is a heavy motor and requires a substantial battery, so it might not come out too light. A Q100H with one of those 48v downtube batteries and a 15A controller would go pretty well and be much lighter
