Generic kits

I know it's cheaper to buy the kits but from a generic parts point of view are most ebike parts from China interchangable or are there any watch outs

You need to buy the controller and control panel as a pair. The rest is mix and match, but you'll need to adjust some connectors. there are some problems with the 12 magnet pedal sensors, so best to stick with the cheaper, 5, 8 or 10 magnet ones.
