been trying to get a kalkhoff but so far got standard one but i been trying to hook up the wrong end of the battery up to it... the end that had the charge port..cos the other ends power wire i don't get anything from.. need to use a multi meter sick of riding it without a battery lol.. Ive had it turn on but wouldn't go guessing due to the brown and white wire needing some sort of voltage thru ..? wouldn't be surprised if Ive blown the controller actually... it arked one of the battery wires to the clip the moment it touched it the other day.. im forgetting to put a fuse in the line on the pos side... that's the battery in image attached that would go into it what do the letters stand for...
Thankyou for your help

Arcing shouldn't be a problem. You always get that when you connect a battery to the controller. As long as you connect all the wires to the battery connector in the correct sequence, you won't do any harm, but if you try other combinations, you can do some serious damage.

You won't be able to measure a voltage on the battery because it has to do the handshaking with the controller through the comms wires before it'll give power.

One can't use a generic two wire battery with the Kalkhoff's as they need to carry out the hand shaking , if the controller /display don't see this then thye won't work. The two extra wires of the original battery are there to fulfill the handshaking needed.
