Hi,

I am selling off some items that I was going to use on mid-drive system that I had imported from the states. To be entirely honest the build looked easy on paper but when it came down to it it was too much for me to do with the time and funds I had available.
Here are the items that I am selling -
2 Astro 3220 4 turn motors
2 Castle Creations Phoenix Ice Edge HV160 Speed Controllers
1 Recumpence Twin Motor 4:1 reduction drive with White Ind Freewheel for left side drive
1 Custom LiPo battery -
12S4P 44.4V 20Ah 400A
1 Boosty Freewheeling chainset from Switzerland - takes 2 chain sprockets - 5 arm 110BCD - I also have a number of different chain sprockets for this. Bottom Bracket is a Truvativ Giga-pipe with custom cranks.

I will follow this up with photos but please contact me in the first instance if you are interested in any this high grade extremely powerful kit. Really and honestly this stuff is for home builders or very experienced hobbyists with good knowledge of mechanics, electronics and electric motors.

Like I said it was a custom built battery - it was designed to give 400 amps on a burst so it's more like having a nitro system on a car - short bursts of hig power. It's good for about 20 miles but thats it. The dims are 50 x 90 x 150 mm

I'd only pull 20amps max due to my controller

Still I'd be interested in a photo to understand how it mounts to a bike

Can I ask how much you'd like for it also ?

Thanks

No that's not my bike but the motor drive is similar to the astro one pictured but it's a twin drive. The guys at FFR trikes recently pulled 86 mph using the same one as I'm selling.
How you mount the battery is up to you...... This is all specialist kit and much knowledge is needed for it. I built an Aluminium box for it but am keeping that for another project. The battery cost about £400 new but that included the shipping which was tricky! Please note the edit above now as battery is really12S4P 44.4V 20Ah 400A

Sorry guys, have been away for a while. I sold the parts etc a while a go and meant to update on here. I am very interested to hear from anyone wishing to build a bike using these types of components though as I would eventually love to see High Speed British e-bike take som of the records back from our friends over the pond!
