The Cycle Analyst has come on a long way in six years. Maybe you should check out some of the changes since you last used one.

Name one thing that it can do that I need.

Two of my CAs are V3. I bought one to go with a torque sensor before I realised that torque multiplication systems are the worst way to get power to the motor and torque sensors are ridiculously heavy.

The other problem with the CA is the amount of wiring you need.

I don't think it generally does increase the amount of wiring - there's only a single cable that runs between the CA and controller after all. It does affect where the wiring goes though, since all inputs connect to the CA, rather than the controller. Only when you get into some of the advanced functionality do you need any additional cable runs.
