There's loads of crank-drives that have throttles: Bafang, Tonaro, TMC, Bewo, Xofo, MXUS, GNG, Cyclone are just a few to start with. Woosh have increased the power of their ones recently, which makes them a bit more competitive (powerwise). The motor is a little bit bigger than it was before, but you wouldn't notice the difference.
Thats a lot of names I had not even heard of until this thread.
This forum is great! Loads of help and information.
Wish someone could lead me to a seller of the Load bike:
http://en.r-m.de/bike/load-nuvinci-hs/

Its an expensive bit of kit at upwards of £4.5K,
Do Reise and Muller have secret agents in UK?
Any dealers to contact over the water?

Excellent, takes me hours to write the articles. So happy you are learning from them.
Did you read the Bosch vs Yamaha one too? Its a popular one :)

Thanks.
Yes I did, more comparisons would be helpful,
those are too similar, the main difference was dongle or not!

Id like to see direct comparisons of other crank drives,
particularly the ones I never heard of before..

They're much to nice to be secret agents, my experience anyway.

Thanks I'll get in touch,
got to try for the bike that seems like a first choice.
Given the cost I almost hope I wont like it,
but if I do its worth it.
my Heinzmann lasted 10 years and sold for good money,
so its not expensive if it does the job..

Can also offer you full support on the bike. Although will prove a lot more reliable than what you have had in the past anyway.

Bosch have a very long way to go as far as proving to be more reliable than Heinzmann who have been making electric bike motors since 1920.

At last I can tell you all that we bought a bike!

Yuba Mundo from Cyclezee.

It is of a similar style to my previous "longtail" cargo bike, so comfortable with the choice in that way. Its not ridden much yet, but the little I have it is very impressive.
Interestingly looking back at my wish list, one of my first posts here, it hasnt ticked all the boxes, but its ok.
No full chainguard or hub gears..
I will now start a thread on some modifications I need to make to it.
Out of the box it is a great bike, for a reasonable price.
So no criticisms there, but some customising to our own needs next.
