Kalkhoff Impulse switches itself off and on continuously

You switch it on, the display says hello and boots up, then it immediately switches itself off, waits a couple of seconds and then repeats ad infinitum. The lights come on and go off too. When you press the switch again, it stops, so the switch seems to be working correctly.

Has anybody heard of this before? It's a 2014 Kalkhoff Endeavour.

I forgot to mention that there was no SD card in the LCD. Is that normal?

I had this on recently changed motor, but nothing helps, returned to shop
