Finding my (electric) wheels

hi
I was looking at the kalkhoff sahel compact as a possible first electric bike. The gearing on this bike which has 20 inch wheels is 38 on the front and 16 on the rear. To my limited knowledge this would mean the bike would go at about 12 mph with a cadence of 90 rpm.
This looks a bit under geared to me and is putting me off the bike.
Is there anyone out there with experience of this bike that can tell me what kind of realistic speeds the sahel compact is capable of for the average rider.
All advice will be gratefully received as I am from Scotland and unable to make the long trek to test one for myself.

I haven't riden one but has it not got an 8 speed hub drive?
This should give you a higher top speed but like most compacts you don't expect to cruse at 20 mph especially with electric motor.
15 is usually easy 18 is a real struggle. ( on the flat of course)
And welcome
