Have just ordered a Bosch KTM Macina Cross

Google Translate
link does not take you to correct page: press "suche" - top right hand - then "bikesuche" then in box put "Macina cross" that should do it, only if bothered obviously! lol

I have purchased a special "street" model, from Stradler online, a large German retailer This is identical to bike in link except it has mudguards and 40 lux lighting system. price was 1999 euro plus just just under 80 Euro delivery (10 days fingers crossed)

So approx £1850 all in, not bad for such a nice spec bosch bike...Cant wait!:D

would have preffered to get from Belgium but there is no stock and want bike for the summer not begining of winter......

Edit:

Link was to wrong bike!

Wow!, nice spec for that price. Shimano 575 hydraulics, Alfine 11 speed hub. Smashing bike Ed, your gonna have some fun on that.
Oop's! Sorry link to wrong bike! (have changed it now.....)

was going to get the Macina 29 but it is really an off road style bike and more expensive at 2399 euro

the Macina Cross, more upright Hybrid style not as good spec but it has the 8 speed nexus (premium) which is supposed to be very much like the Alfina...

Christmas has come early to our house.... as Specialised crostrail Lrd disc with DaaHub kit due today as well! Yippee! lol so hopefully in a couple of weeks we will have 2 E bikes again.....( both 705 and 905 went to a lovely couple last weekend)

Can't see it, says "Under Construction" and a chunk of the left hand side of the page is hidden.

Saw the original wrongly linked to and did wonder Eddie!

Still under construction. First link looked pretty impressive spec!

As an asside are they now shipping DaaHub kits or are they just for a selected few to try on a sale or return basis ?

Jerry

Tried the search as you said, but all it showed was a whole range of cross models and the one e-model shown was their high-powered 500 watt BionX one, not a Bosch in sight.

Their website designers seem to think it's always night time, judging by the gloom.

No sold 705/905 last week to a very nice couple...So there will only be the 2 E bikes. Plus 2 folders and 3 more full sized bikes gathering dust.....will stick them on gumtree soon though

Indeed a very nice looking bike. I for one really like the look and placing of the battery, am I alone on this
No. I like it too.

Am I correct in thinking that there is a rack mounted battery option with the Bosch system?

No, you're certainly not alone Oiseaux; I think it's a good looking machine and as there aren't too many places where a battery could be sited, I think they've got it right.

It seems that we're beginning to see more bikes now equipped with motor and battery, yet retaining the traditional wheelbase and appearing like "normal" bikes. I like that.

Indalo

Fingers crossed it should be a very nice bike if any of the chatter on German pedelec is anything to go by....Where it has been very well received. Had given up on getting a 2011 bike and was prepared to wait till the winter, until i heard that German forum members had got a special edition from Stadler online, could not believe my luck as these Bosch bikes are in very short supply as demand in Europe has been enormous. My wife will ride it when we are away (better fit) and I will ride my new Specalised DaaHub, then for serious climbing I will use it, as apparently they can climb walls.......
