New battery for my City Thunder bike costs £400
Is there a cheaper alternative battery/kit?

A standard Silver Fish battery might fit. I'd need to see detailed photos of your battery off the bike: how it's retained; its connection points; etc.

Look at the photo of this one that shows the bottom plate and retaining strip.

If yours has a similar retaining system. this one should be ok, but you might have to do a bit of DIY to adapt it.

What's wrong with your present battery?
