I have a full suss Haibike with the Yamaha motor, it was noisy right from the start, a bearing whine, but is now getting worse. I bought it just before covid, and on the first service the bike shop agreed it was noisy, and suggested I wait until after the pandemic, yeah, OK.
The bike shop has now closed, but has other branches, and the motor has a 2 year warranty, so, I am thinking of taking it in to another branch, however...
I have deristricted it, will they be able to tell? Obviously, I will remove the dongle first, but are there some diagnostics that will show up.
I have done 2000 mile on it, and it is a superb bike.
Might just carry on and eventually send it to performance line bearings, which I suspect will be much quicker.
