PAS level parameters

Hi a general question please If pas level 1 is 50% on any system and achieved range is 10 miles exactly using only level 1 (helps with the math) Then the parameter for level 1 is lowered to say 25% would the range achieved increase ? if so how much ?

battery consumption grows with speed cubed - it's due mainly to air resistance.
The assist level matters little. It's your speed that counts.

So both runs at exactly say 10 mph each the difference in range will be infinitesimal

Sorry have to disagree Tony, with my 20a KT the first three PAS give approx. PAS1 13%, PAS2 20%, PAS3 33% of available current, I get with my ageing 29e batteries 35- 40miles, 18- 24 miles & about 12 miles respectively.

may be because you ride faster or climb hills with higher PAS levels.

Those mileage ranges are on the same 700c commute /town bike, assist cut off is 26km/h or 16.15 mph on flat terrain, above that I'm on my own power.

Demanding less current increases range less sag stress on cells and higher SOC across the board.
Unlike your Luishi's where you set the current % draw higher then the KT, KT PAS1 at 13% is very economical.

when you have the time, try this experiment: measure battery consumption for the same distance at the same average speed such as 14mph at various assist levels. There will be differences but I reckon they are not huge.
